FAQs

Managed Review and Relativity aiR FAQs

Is aiR a replacement for review attorneys?

Our model uses aiR for defined analysis and attorneys for criteria, validation, exceptions, privilege, confidentiality, judgment, and quality control.

Can aiR be used only for first-pass review?

No. Depending on scope, it may also support prioritization, early matter insight, investigations, incoming-production analysis, and comparison-based QC.

How do you choose a workflow?

The matter’s risk, population, deadlines, coding complexity, privilege profile, available ground truth, and client objectives determine whether the model is AI-forward, AI-prioritized, or traditional with AI-assisted QC.

Is every matter appropriate for aiR?

No. The assessment should identify whether the data, objectives, criteria, and risk profile support the proposed use.

Who makes privilege decisions?

Attorneys make and validate privilege and confidentiality decisions. AI-assisted workflows can help focus and organize that work.
